For my summer project, the Reflection on Reality, I chose the word Flipped, which is used to describe love at first sight and infatuation. It generally refers to falling in love with someone who has the flipped that becomes colourful to your life. The following is the Disney short animation Paperman I found on YouTube. I chose this short film to make a short animation about the emotional social phenomenon of cats and lions in the next step.
The Paperman is mainly telling the story of the middle of this century, New York, a young man on the way to work encounters a beautiful girl. The boy in the hands of a stack of paper inadvertently leaves a lot of marks on two people, both the girl and boy return to their respective life at the same time, and the young man find that girl come to interview the other side of the building, he relies on the stack of paper and the time and effort. Finally, the boy attracted the attention of the girl.
The Paperman was shot by John Kahrs, a former Pixar employee, and this was his first film. Released in 2012, the film was presented in black and white, using a relatively advanced method of combining hand-drawn animation with CG computer animation. Paperman tells a beautiful love story through a paper aeroplane. Love, at first sight, is beautiful, but the effort of two people is the important reason why they can meet again. Love works can move the author because as long as there is love, we can face all difficulties. Therefore, everyone can enjoy the happiness of love equally, and this will not change no matter how many years pass. Whether it’s in love or work, when you have an opportunity, you need to seize it and give it you are all. While witnessing a simple and beautiful love story, we also understand the importance of opportunity and hard work for success in the future.

The reason why I intend to the keyword and chose this animation, which is not over ten minutes, it makes me feel the flip of love. Once I meet the flip, the flip is wonderful. I had flipped, completely. Meanwhile, flipped can bring the audience a kind of appreciation of the moment and have “the best chance encounter in life” truly moved.
